What Is SHINE?
SHINE — Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders — is a free program offered by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and your local Area Agency on Aging. The Northwest Florida Rural Health Network is proud to serve as a SHINE counseling site, bringing this valuable resource directly to seniors in our rural community.
Specially trained SHINE volunteers provide one-on-one counseling and information to help Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers understand their health insurance options. All SHINE services are completely free, unbiased, and confidential.
